World Best Selling SUV Ranking in 2026. The Toyota RAV4 dropped from 1st into 3rd, being overtaken by the Honda CR-V and the Tesla Model Y which secured leadership again (+29.5%). Notably, the Mazda CX-5 reported major gains and surged into 7th.
Looking at YTD sales up to April 2026, the leader became the Tesla Model Y -up 1 spot- securing a 2.4% share (+29.5%).
The Honda CR-V -up 1 spot- followed into 2nd with a 1.8% share (-5.3%).
In 3rd place the Toyota RAV4 which dropped 2 spots into 3rd with a 1.6% share (-37.6%).
In 4th place ranked the Hyundai Tucson (+1%), followed by the Volkswagen Tiguan -up 1 spot- in 5th (+9.5%).
In 6th ranked the Kia Sportage -down 1 spot- (-2.5%), ahead of Mazda CX-5 -up 5 spots- in 7th (+13.4%), the Mercedes GLC -up 3 spots- in 8th (+0.1%) and Hyundai Creta -up 4 spots- in 9th (-0.4%).
In 10th place the Chevrolet Equinox fell 1 spot (-8%).
