World Best Selling SUV Ranking in 2025. Despite reporting losses, the Tesla Model Y retains the top spot, followed by the Toyota RAV4. Notably, the Chevrolet Equinox rose by 31.5% to emerge as new top contender.
Looking at full-year data for 2025, the leader was still the Tesla Model Y securing a 2.5% share (-9.4%).
The Toyota RAV4 followed into 2nd with a 2.4% share (-1.4%).
In 3rd place the Honda CR-V, which was the segment leader in the period 2010-2015. With a 1.7% share, it fell 2.1%.
In 4th place ranked the Hyundai Tucson (+3.2%), followed by the Volkswagen Tiguan -up 2 spots- in 5th (+2%).
In 6th ranked the Kia Sportage (-0.5%), ahead of Honda HR-V -up 1 spot- in 7th (-0.5%), the Mazda CX-5 -up 2 spots- in 8th (-0.7%) and Chevrolet Equinox -up 11 spots- in 9th (+31.5%).
In 10th place the Mercedes GLC fell 1 spot (-3.1%).
